Yesterday, I receive two more job offers for employment at the two various companies. I am still waiting for my background check results however I think I am going to take the job offer that I first received. I am not going to do days anymore since I officially have a job but I will continue to update this blog on a regular basis. I am still working to find some people who are going through some struggles with looking for a job so I will be posting stories on here on a regular basis......
I have a tip that some people can consider, I noticed that their is a huge influx of jobs for the government. If you are open to other options and you can pass a couple of tests, then you should consider a position in government. I was considered for a couple of positions myself, however since I am considered for other positions, I will but these government jobs on hold. However, I want to suggest a site to you that you can apply for various open positions for the government in various states. Some of these positions are two year contract terms so it is a great addition to your resume.

I remember when I was real hungry for a job, I went to a place 16 times to ask for a job, and on the seventeenth time I said,...say, I won't bother you anymore if you just grant me an interview, and if you like me fine, and if you don't, then let me know. I was granted an interview, but they really didn't interview me for the job, they just said you are hired. At another place, I went there at least 12 times asking for work, and I've been there for the past 31 years. I kept my positive attitude, I just said to myself, they really wanted to hire me today, but they might wait a week for in. P.S. If you need extra money, and are waiting for that job offer, don't watch TV, but register at your local blood plasma donation center for an extra $50.00 per week for two donations of about 50 minutes each. Think positive and move on, recessions come and go, and positive people move forward!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great information. Sometimes we overlook the places that have been around for years. A contract job is definitely better than no job at all. I have a friend who has been a contractor for about 11 years, so there can definitely be longevity with contract jobs. And lots of holidays!
